One of our newest collections is BUNON. Beautiful silk textiles that are handwoven with hand spun yarn, from wild silkworms sourced from local forests. These techniques have been handed down for over 1300 years. Everything is genuinely done by hand, and only 3 meters can be woven a day. Women spin, men weave. It’s their tradition and never changes. Yarn can only be spun on women’s soft skin, with their palms and inner thighs. Now it’s getting much more difficult to maintain their treasure tradition. BUNON values meeting with local artisan to understand their culture and current circumstances, and share their thoughts for each other and for the future. Natural factors like temperature and rainfall affect the processes. It’s impossible to produce the same quality all the time. It’s one of the natural beauty that these textiles can never be the same. The collection is made with hand loom Khadi and a lot of traditional handcrafted techniques like Kantha embroideries and Jamdani weaving in the details.

CHOCOLATE
windows, in a row, in a row
deep, deep, chocolate
clouds, clouds, sky
deep, deep milk
creamy velvety mixing in between
windows
reflecting
the sky
seeing
dancing
the air
being born
sweet, big world
