The texture and form in this design was inspired by sea plants, shells and coral found walking along the beach.
Influenced by 20th century sculptors Noguchi, Calder, and Brancusi who drew their inspiration from primitive ethnic form and crafts, Julie’s work in jewelry has similar roots. Her pieces are about possibilities for layering and stacking to create one-of-a-kind collages or small sculptures that uniquely juxtapose disparate elements with simple elegance.
